Reception faults
Satellite reception problems diagnosed & fixed in Kent
No satellite signal, picture break-up, rain fade or channels that come and go — we trace the fault with a meter and fix the cause, not the symptom.

Metered diagnosis
Kent-wide service
“No signal” is a symptom — the meter tells us where the chain has broken
Between the satellite and your screen there is a dish, an LNB, a cable run, connectors, splitters and the receiver itself. A fault anywhere in that chain produces the same on-screen message, which is why swapping the box rarely fixes it.
We meter at the dish and at the TV point, checking signal strength, quality and error rate on the transponders your channels actually use. That isolates the failure — a skewed dish, a dying LNB, a perished cable, a corroded connector or an overloaded splitter — in minutes rather than guesswork.
Tree growth is a very common Kent cause: a dish aligned in winter can lose line of sight when the neighbour's sycamore comes into leaf. We confirm on-site and either trim the path where permitted or relocate the dish to clear it.
What's included
Done properly, first visit
No-signal diagnosis
End-to-end metering from dish to receiver to find the broken link in the chain.
Rain fade fixes
Alignment and connector faults that cause drop-out in bad weather, repaired for good.
Pixelation & break-up
Low-quality signal traced to its source — cable, LNB, splitter or alignment.
Missing channels
Per-transponder measurement to find why part of the lineup has vanished.
Tree & obstruction surveys
Line-of-sight checks and dish relocation where growth or building work blocks the path.
Box & tuner faults
Receiver health checked so you only replace equipment that has genuinely failed.

Anything not covered here, call 01622 619811 and speak to an engineer — not a scripted call handler.
Sky says 'no satellite signal is being received' — what is wrong?
Usually a shifted dish, a failed LNB or water in the cable. We meter each stage of the chain to find which, then repair that component.
Why does my picture break up only in wind or rain?
Marginal alignment or a connector taking on water. The picture is fine in good weather because there is just enough signal — we restore the margin.
Some channels work and others don't — is the dish broken?
No. Different channels sit on different transponders, so losing part of the lineup points to a marginal alignment or a failing LNB rather than a dead dish.
A tree has grown in front of the dish — can you help?
Yes. We check the line of sight, relocate or raise the dish where needed, and re-peak it on the meter.
